Conflicts of Interest Statement
We believe good advice depends on being upfront about anything that could influence it. This statement sets out where a potential conflict of interest could arise in our work, and how we manage it.
1. Referral arrangements
As part of an accreditation bundle, we may recommend specialist delivery partners for training, digital safety checks, lone-worker training, or DBS processing. In some cases, we receive a referral fee from these partners when a client uses their services. The partners we work with most often are listed on our Partners page.
This is standard practice across many consultancies, and it is not something we hide. We think it is something you should know without having to ask.
2. How we manage this
- A partner is recommended because they are the right fit for what you need, not because of the fee we may receive. The same partners are recommended regardless of engagement size.
- You are always free to use your own preferred provider instead of any partner we suggest, without affecting your accreditation or the rest of your bundle.
- We are happy to tell you which of our recommendations involve a referral fee if you would like to know, before you decide.
3. Other potential conflicts
We do not accept gifts, hospitality, or incentives from any organisation that could reasonably be seen to influence an accreditation decision. Where we identify any other potential conflict of interest in a piece of work, we will disclose it to the client before proceeding.
4. Review
This statement is reviewed annually, or sooner if our referral arrangements change. Questions about this statement can be sent to hazel@synergysafeguarding.co.uk.
